Description

The contractual funding of the Carinthian Folk Song Association supports the Carinthian Folk Song Association in Carinthia in the professional management and care of the regional collection "Carinthian Folk Song Archive." The aim of this open-ended grant funding is to permanently preserve and make accessible the cultural heritage owned by the state. As a bearer of folk culture, the association assumes essential tasks in the documentation, research, and dissemination of orally transmitted song traditions. This funding contributes to the preservation and further development of the cultural heritage and strengthens the diversity of musical traditions in the region.

Applications can be submitted at any time—since 01.01.2014—to Department 14 – Arts and Culture of the Office of the Carinthian State Government. Funding requirements include the submission of a fully completed and signed application form, fulfillment of the tasks defined in the association's statutes, and compliance with the provisions of §§ 3–5 K-KFördG. Coordination with other funding bodies is mandatory. The association must submit an annual activity report by the end of January and provide proof of expenditure with balanced original receipts. The disbursement of funds takes place after approval of the financial audit and requires the use of the cultural logo "Land Kärnten Kultur" in publications and events. This transparently designed funding measure creates a reliable basis for sustainable work in the field of folk song preservation and keeps Carinthia's cultural memory alive.
