Description
The contract funding of the Robert Musil Institute for Literary Research/Carinthian Literary Archive supports non-profit organizations, public and educational institutions in Carinthia in the collection, archiving, and indexing of estate materials as well as in the planning and execution of literary readings, scientific conferences, and publications with a Carinthian regional focus. Eligible to apply are institutions of literary research and archival science as well as researchers who wish to scientifically process the cultural and media heritage of the region. Applications may be submitted at any time without restriction. Personnel and material costs are funded, with quality of research, relevance to literary scholarship, and sustainability of archival operations serving as evaluation criteria. Having a seat in Carinthia or a thematic connection to the region constitutes an essential funding prerequisite.
The administration is based on a written funding commitment by the Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 14 – Arts and Culture, followed by a funding contract for amounts of €30,000 and above. The disbursement of funds to the account specified in the application is contingent upon proof of proper project execution. A usage report must be submitted in the form of balanced original receipts, supplemented by a detailed overall accounting for higher amounts. Simultaneously, a written activity report documenting the content, progress, and results of the project must be provided. The funding must be acknowledged with the cultural logo “Land Kärnten Kultur,” and funded events are to be entered punctually into the state event database. Verification obligations and possible repayment claims ensure the proper use of funds.
