Description
The Villa Musica Scholarship in Rhineland-Palatinate offers a three-year elite support program for outstanding young musicians under the age of 26. Selected participants undergo a free supplementary training in chamber music at Schloss Engers, including accommodation, meals, and reimbursement of travel expenses. During five intensive rehearsal days per course week, they develop a concert program under the guidance of professors, soloists, and chamber music experts from around the world and gain valuable stage experience through public performances throughout Rhineland-Palatinate. With a funding rate of 100%, the scholarship enables professional artistic development and sustainably strengthens the ensemble skills of the scholarship holders.
The selection is made exclusively through an audition, which is expected to take place in spring 2026. Decision criteria include the audition results as well as the musical aptitude and potential of the applicants. The funding covers a period of 36 months and includes all training costs. Applicants must meet the maximum age requirement of 26 years and apply via the upcoming audition. Over the three-year program duration, additional opportunities for instrument scholarships and project funding also arise. The Villa Musica Scholarship is aimed at young emerging talents who wish to deepen their chamber music skills under professional conditions and achieve their first solo and chamber music successes.
