Vissel Project of the Year

The Visselhövede Citizens' Foundation honors outstanding local initiatives with the Vissel Project of the Year award, recognizing efforts that strengthen community life in the city. Funding is provided to teams, groups, associations, initiatives, and individuals who implement projects in the areas of commitment to social cohesion and democracy, regional development, labor & social affairs, as well as agriculture & rural development. The aim of the award is to sustainably improve the quality of life and togetherness in Visselhövede and to promote a sense of responsibility towards one another. The funding is open to all who wish to make a concrete contribution to the community with their idea and have their primary residence in the city.

The award is granted in an uncomplicated manner and applications can be submitted at any time: a completed funding application form is sufficient to apply. A prerequisite is that the project is located within the city limits of Visselhövede. Upon receipt of the documents, a committee reviews the local relevance and eligibility of the submitted projects. Suitable projects are recognized with financial support and a ceremonial award. This straightforward process motivates both experienced and newly established groups to implement innovative ideas to revitalize the community. Interested project sponsors may submit their application at any time and thus make a valuable contribution to the future viability of their hometown.
