Description
The Lehnhardt Foundation's volunteer program offers interested individuals throughout Germany the opportunity to contribute their commitment in various areas. Volunteers take on organizational tasks, support education and knowledge transfer, participate in fundraising, or provide digital and administrative assistance. The goal is to support children with hearing impairments: from planning and coordinating implantation missions, through accompaniment during rehabilitation, to educational offerings. Practical involvement generates sustainable impulses for social cohesion, inclusion, and participation. The program is open to all private individuals who wish to engage in the fields of health, education, children and youth, as well as work & social affairs. Applications are accepted at any time and are submitted by providing a CV, a letter of motivation, and a data protection declaration.
Volunteers sought are those with strong motivation, specialized skills, and proficiency in at least two foreign languages. Particularly addressed are medical students, teachers, IT specialists, or retirees willing to dedicate their time and expertise to children with hearing impairments. Evaluation criteria include commitment, professional qualifications, and language skills. Through continuous funding opportunities, volunteers benefit from flexible deployment models—whether project-based, alongside their profession, or in long-term cooperation. The program not only promotes individual development but also makes a valuable contribution to strengthening democratic values and social cohesion. Interested persons can apply at any time and thus become part of an inclusive community that jointly enables hearing miracles and opens up future prospects.
