Description
In Hamburg, IFB HAMBURG promotes the energy-efficient modernization of the building envelope of existing residential buildings with a building permit older than 20 years through a continuously available grant. Eligible applicants include private owners, other rights holders (e.g., leasehold beneficiaries), as well as condominium owners' associations for single-family houses, semi-detached houses, terraced houses, and multi-family houses. Individual measures such as external insulation, roof insulation, and window replacement are funded, as well as accompanying quality assurance measures – for example, hydraulic balancing according to procedure B and airtightness measurements. The use of ecologically sustainable insulation materials is additionally rewarded, and an attractive modernization bonus is granted when several building component groups are renovated simultaneously.
Prerequisites for funding include submitting an application via the eApplication portal before the project begins, confirmation by an energy consultant listed in the federal EEE list, cost estimates, and, if applicable, a power of attorney declaration for multiple owners. In addition to the mentioned construction measures, specialist services for quality assurance can also be subsidized. The funding guideline specifies the funding amounts per measure as well as the requirements for the modernization bonus. Applications can be submitted digitally at any time, with selected projects being randomly inspected. Interested parties can find all details on funding requirements, eligible expenses, and necessary documents in the official funding guideline of IFB HAMBURG.
