Christmas Support for Nazi Victims

The Christmas Support for NS Victims in Carinthia offers a one-time financial grant at Christmas for all persons holding a valid victim ID card or a corresponding official certificate. This funding is aimed at former concentration camp inmates, partisans, politically persecuted individuals, as well as widows and widowers of title holders under the Victim Welfare Act. The measure falls within the area of Social Affairs and Work & Social Affairs and is granted as a subsidy. The goal is to provide the historical victims of National Socialism with additional recognition of their suffering during the pre-Christmas period and to financially ease their living situation during the holidays.

The administration of the funding is carried out by Department 11 – Social Affairs, Housing and Labor Market – of the Carinthian State Government. Applications can be submitted indefinitely and continuously since the start of the approval period on January 1, 2014. The application must be submitted together with proof of the victim ID card or the official certificate according to the Victim Welfare Act. This document constitutes the sole requirement for the approval of the grant.
