Description

The Heilwig Foundation Fund supports non-profit organizations in Bavaria by fully covering course fees for palliative care training. Funding is provided to employees of disability facilities in the districts of Traunstein and Berchtesgadener Land who have completed training in a nursing profession or in curative education. As an ongoing funding opportunity in the areas of education & training, health, as well as work & social affairs, the grant specifically aims to expand hospice expertise and improve the quality of life for people with disabilities at the end of life. The program process is designed to be flexible; applications can be submitted at any time, enabling tailored planning of operational qualification measures.

The core objective of the funding is the expansion of holistic palliative care that addresses physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. Through financial support, expertise is developed and the confidence of the institutions in caring for dying individuals is strengthened. Employees acquire practical tools from certified training providers, ranging from pain assessment to communication in farewell situations. In the long term, the initiative contributes to closer networking of regional hospice teams and specialized palliative care, ensuring the participation of people with disabilities in their familiar environment. Interested institutions can easily submit their funding application via email to sustainably benefit from the training offerings.
