Description
A comprehensive grant program in Saxony-Anhalt supports the establishment and expansion of everyday support services, strengthens volunteer engagement, and initiates model projects to test innovative care concepts. The focus is particularly on people in need of care and their relatives, including individuals with dementia, who can remain self-determined in a familiar environment through quality-assured services. In parallel, self-help groups, contact points, and organizations are supported to enable mutual exchange, prevent isolation, and promote participation in social life. Annual application submissions ensure the continuous development of civic structures and sustainable assistance.
Eligible for funding are private individuals, public institutions, associations, and interest groups with headquarters and project implementation in Saxony-Anhalt. The grant rate ranges between 22.5% and 50%, depending on the type of project and target group. Eligible expenses include, among others, room rental, office equipment, media, training, personnel, and other material costs. Model projects can cover up to 45% of expenses, while volunteers may receive a maximum of €1,000 and self-help groups up to €500. Self-help contact points can be subsidized with up to €5,000 per calendar year, and general projects with a maximum of €10,000. An agreement with the state associations of the nursing care funds or the Association of Private Health Insurance may be required in individual cases. Applications are submitted using specific forms and attachments for self-help organizations, contact points, and groups, supplemented by a declaration of the accuracy of the information provided. Funding areas include health, social affairs, as well as work and social participation. Applications for general projects must be submitted to the Social Agency Saxony-Anhalt by December 15; self-help groups submit documents to the locally responsible contact point by November 15.
