Welt!Markt supports Styrian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their entry into international markets. Funding is provided for first-time trade fair appearances, participation in competitions, as well as technology transfer projects. The grant covers up to 60% of eligible costs, including stand rental, construction and operation of trade fair booths, travel expenses, participation fees, and consulting services in technology transfer. A location in Styria, proof of SME status, and in the trade fair module a confirmation that no federal funding is granted, are prerequisites. For technology transfer projects, cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is required. Eligible expenses are generally those incurred after the application is received (no later than 30.06.2027). Project applicants prepare a detailed project description, submit a cost calculation, and provide, in addition to the SME proof, the required confirmations and proof of cooperation with the EEN. Evaluation criteria include economic efficiency, degree of innovation, and contribution to internationalization.

With a subsidy rate of up to 60%, Welt!Markt offers decisive support for industrial-commercial manufacturing enterprises, business-related service providers, and trading companies with Styrian products. The funding helps to present products and technologies across borders, initiate know-how transfers, and position themselves on global competitive platforms. The application is submitted online, and the Office of the Styrian Provincial Government evaluates economic efficiency, innovation potential, and contribution to internationalization. The project start and recognition date coincide with the application date to ensure incentive effect and proper use of funds. Through Welt!Markt, Styrian companies can specifically gain international experience, build networks, and sustainably strengthen their international competitiveness.
