Description

The Youth Foundation Baden-Württemberg supports creative climate and environmental protection projects initiated by committed youth initiatives in Baden-Württemberg through its program "Less is More!". Under the motto "Less is More," innovative ideas are promoted to shape sustainable, climate-friendly, and resource-conserving lifestyles. Whether it is the development of a sustainability strategy for clubs, a clothing swap in the neighborhood, a food-sharing campaign, a waste avoidance initiative, or the establishment of a repair café – each implementation idea receives a mini-grant of 500 euros. The funding is provided as a subsidy; applications can be submitted continuously and are approved following a straightforward, timely review. The simple proof of use is provided by an entry in the Youth Foundation’s Climate Project Exchange, supplemented by a brief description and meaningful images documenting the project’s progress.

Eligible for funding are youth initiatives and groups with at least five members aged up to 27 years, based in Baden-Württemberg. Groups without their own non-profit sponsor can also apply through the umbrella organization of the Youth Councils of Baden-Württemberg. To apply, the completed "Less is More!" application (PDF) must be submitted. In addition to the application, documentation in the Climate Project Exchange is required as proof. By specifically supporting young engaged individuals, the program contributes to raising awareness of environmental and climate protection throughout society and combines self-initiative with voluntary commitment. The Youth Foundation thus places an emphasis on participation, networking, and practical implementation of ideas that have a lasting impact and motivate other young people as well as adults.
