Description
The program “Less is More!” is aimed at young actors in Baden-Württemberg who are creatively and actively committed to climate and environmental protection. Non-profit youth initiatives or groups with at least five members up to 27 years old are supported with a one-time mini grant of 500 euros per project idea. Under the motto Act sustainably, inspire enthusiasm, the Foundation for the Promotion of Youth in Baden-Württemberg supports projects such as clothing swap events, food-sharing actions, repair cafés, or the development of sustainability strategies within their own association. The application process is deliberately uncomplicated and can be submitted at any time. A simple proof of funds in the form of an entry in the Youth Foundation’s climate project exchange with a brief description and photos is sufficient to initiate the disbursement of the funding.
Material costs and fees are funded, but not personnel expenses or projects already financed from state funds. In addition to having the organization’s registered office in Baden-Württemberg, a current association statute and a completed project application including proof of entry in the climate project exchange are required. Applying through the umbrella organization of the Youth Councils of Baden-Württemberg also enables groups without their own non-profit sponsor to participate. The mini grant provides an initial boost to transform creative ideas into concrete measures for climate-friendly and resource-conserving living, thereby inspiring peers and adults alike.
