Description
The WieNeu+ Neighborhood Funding supports innovative urban renewal projects in selected Viennese neighborhoods to achieve municipal and international climate goals and create future-oriented good practice examples. Funding is provided for structural-technical innovations and technical concepts that go beyond the current state of the art and integratively network the neighborhood. The program operates continuously and offers financial grants without application fees. With a budgeted volume of 5.2 million euros, measures in the thematic areas of Smart Cities & Regions, Urban Planning & Urban Renewal, Energy Efficiency & Climate Protection, as well as Digitalization and Infrastructure are supported.
Eligible for funding are private individuals, companies, and non-profit organizations whose project location lies within the WieNeu+ program area. Requirements include structural-technical innovations beyond the market standard as well as the submission of an online application including project description, income-expenditure statement, factual report, and photo documentation. The selection criteria focus on the degree of innovation, the actual contribution to climate goals, and the integrative inclusion within the neighborhood.
