Description
With the "Welcome to Graz" voucher and the "Small is Fine" family pass, a continuous subsidy offer is directed at parents of children in Graz aged 0 to 3.5 years. Upon the first visit to a municipal parental counseling center, eligible parents of babies up to 1.5 years receive a €50 voucher for free use. Furthermore, families collect points with the family pass, valid until the child’s 3.5th birthday, by participating in free offerings such as counseling, courses, and lectures. After 15 stamps, a €50 voucher is also awarded. Both benefits are granted as 100% subsidies and can be applied for at any time, provided the main residence is proven to be in Graz.
The objective of this initiative is the early networking of young parents with municipal counseling centers as well as the playful promotion of family-related offerings in the urban living environment. The City of Graz thus personally welcomes all newborns and supports parents in obtaining uncomplicated and free information. Requirements include main residence in Graz, the child’s age (0–1.5 years for the "Welcome" voucher, 0–3.5 years for the family pass), and presentation of proof of identity and the family pass. Interested parents receive detailed funding information and application documents through the administrative services of the City of Graz. This commitment strengthens family-friendliness and facilitates access to counseling and course offerings – an invitation to actively support and relieve Graz families during the first years of their child’s life.
