Description
The Baden-Württemberg Nature Conservation Fund Foundation offers a versatile funding opportunity through the program “We Promote Diversity!” aimed at supporting projects in the fields of nature conservation and sustainable development. The focus is on measures to preserve and strengthen biological diversity, while simultaneously advancing innovative approaches in environmental and landscape management. Funding is provided for projects that give an innovative impetus to nature-based adaptation strategies, educational initiatives, and public relations. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, public institutions, as well as private individuals—all those who can make a significant contribution to the protection of natural resources in Baden-Württemberg.
The funding is granted in the form of a subsidy, covering up to 100% of eligible expenses, with a project duration of up to 60 months. Particular emphasis is placed on pilot or model projects that focus on education for sustainable development, species and habitat protection, as well as raising public awareness. Eligible costs include, among others, fees, personnel costs, and material expenses. Applications can be submitted continuously, provided the requested funding amount does not exceed 50,000 euros. This allows for flexible and targeted support that meets the dynamic requirements of regional nature conservation projects and invites all stakeholders—regardless of their organizational form—to participate.
The aim of the funding is to establish sustainable development pathways in nature conservation and to advance innovative projects that serve as exemplars for the preservation of natural diversity and resource-efficient regional development. By supporting projects that operate in a decentralized and regional manner, cooperation between various actors from education, environmental, and climate protection is strengthened. Furthermore, the funding makes an important contribution to training and continuing education by linking scientific expertise with practical environmental management. The application requires a detailed project description, a sound financing plan, and proof of non-profit status, thereby ensuring transparency and targeted use of funds.
