Description
The funding program "Knowledge and Technology Transfer 2022" supports research institutions and economic development organizations in Brandenburg in the implementation of cluster-relevant and cross-cluster transfer projects. With grants covering between 90% and 100% of eligible expenses, the regional innovation strategy of the state is strengthened by transferring scientific findings into market-relevant applications. Project initiatives can be realized in the areas of cluster and transformation management, innovative university transfer projects, thematic competence centers, as well as location-based knowledge transfer. The minimum amount of eligible expenses is €50,000, the duration is limited to 36 months, and for innovative university transfers, a maximum grant amount of €450,000 is provided. Both personnel costs and project-related material, investment, and administrative expenses are eligible for funding. Special attention is given to the separation of economic and non-economic activities as well as the integration of aspects of equality, non-discrimination, and sustainability.
Eligible to apply are research institutions with headquarters or branches in the state of Brandenburg, as well as economic development organizations implementing the state's innovation policy. Applications must be submitted online via the ILB customer portal before the start of the measure and coordinated in advance on a technical level with Wirtschaftsförderung Land Brandenburg GmbH (WFBB). For the preparation of the proof of use, among other documents, job descriptions, time records, and evidence of flat-rate overhead costs must be attached. The program runs until December 31, 2028, and promotes the bridging between science and business to make Brandenburg’s economic location future-proof.
