Scientific Funding of the Else Kröner-Fresenius Foundation (Funding Lines)

The Else Kröner-Fresenius Foundation supports outstanding medical and biomedical research projects nationwide. Through its funding lines, it offers both flexibly submitted grants for individual projects as well as annually announced programs for early-career support and key projects with high breakthrough potential in diagnostics and therapy. The goal is to strengthen scientific excellence and to provide targeted support for clinician scientist careers as well as early-career researchers. Eligible for funding are non-profit educational institutions, public institutions, and individuals from the medical field. Applications can be submitted at any time; thus, there is no fixed deadline, ensuring timely support. The review focuses on scientific excellence and relevance to medical research. Particularly addressed are physicians who wish to combine research and clinical work, early-career researchers, as well as project leaders whose work can significantly contribute to improving diagnostics and therapy.
