Description
The funding scheme is aimed at universities, colleges, non-university research institutions, scientific associations, as well as regional authorities, with the goal of sustainably supporting scientific projects that have a substantive connection to Lower Austria. With a maximum grant of up to €80,000, the program supports initiatives that make a tangible contribution to the scientific, social, ecological, and technological development of the federal state. The initiative seeks to increase research intensity in Lower Austria and thematically address the specific challenges and potentials of the region. Applications can be submitted continuously, allowing scientific projects to be implemented flexibly and promptly. For-profit companies and private individuals are excluded from applying in order to maintain the focus on non-profit research institutions.
The funding is based on the provisions of the Lower Austrian Cultural Funding Act and the associated guidelines in the fields of science, research, and tertiary education. Designed as a grant, it covers a wide range of areas from basic to applied research, thereby supporting a broad spectrum of scientific disciplines. By specifically promoting projects with regional relevance, sustainable impulses are set for innovation, nature conservation, and social cohesion. The program invites contributions to enrich Lower Austria’s scientific landscape with new impulses and to strengthen long-term recognized research structures.
