Description
The funding to support housing in facilities for people with disabilities in Styria enables the assumption of fees for accommodation and care. The goal is to enable people with a non-temporary impairment of physical function, intellectual ability, mental health, or sensory functions to participate equally in social life. Eligible for funding are persons with their main residence in Styria who hold the citizenship of an EEA state, Switzerland, or an equivalent residence permit, and whose stay is valid for more than three months. The funding measure is available indefinitely and can be applied for at any time.
Within the framework of a grant, only the fees for accommodation and care in recognized residential facilities are funded. A prerequisite for receiving the benefits is the submission of the “Application for Assistance according to the Styrian Disability Act,” in which the disability is proven according to the regional legal definition. The processing is carried out by Department 11 “Social Affairs, Labor and Integration” of the State of Styria. Continuous funding aims to ensure the long-term provision of high-quality housing and care services and to provide tangible relief to those affected and their relatives. Through this targeted support, sustainable life perspectives in appropriate forms of housing are created.
