Description
The promotional loan "Living with the Future: Photovoltaics" enables private individuals in Baden-Württemberg to equip their owner-occupied residential property with a photovoltaic system including an optional battery storage. The program's goal is to increase the share of renewable energies in the building stock and reduce CO₂ emissions. In addition to the technical components, planning, project design, and necessary construction measures are also financed. The low-interest loan can be combined with the EEG feed-in tariff, thus supporting an economically viable implementation. With a loan amount starting at €5,000 and terms of up to 30 years, the offer is aimed at property owners who wish to invest sustainably in climate and resource protection.
A prerequisite for approval is residence in Baden-Württemberg as well as owner-occupation of at least one residential unit. The applicants provide the equity financing for the system, and installation must be carried out by a qualified specialist company. Eligible for funding are PV systems up to 30 kWp, battery storage, mounting, connection, metering equipment, and wall boxes. Excluded are systems on multi-family houses with more than three units, holiday or secondary residences, as well as standalone fossil fuel boilers from 2025 onwards. Applications can be submitted at any time. For the funding application, the program information sheet, form WF_1004, and product-specific data protection notices must be submitted to ensure prompt review and approval.
