Description

The funding program "Housing (Upper Austria)" supports non-profit organizations, companies, and public institutions in the establishment and financing of needs-based housing and care services for people with disabilities. The goal is to offer flexible living arrangements through fully supervised residential homes, semi-supervised living in individual apartments or shared flats, as well as temporary short-term and transitional housing. Specifically for individuals with addiction disorders, both fully supervised aftercare and semi-supervised housing concepts with mandatory employment are possible. Since November 5, 2013, the funding has been unlimited in duration, and applications can be submitted at any time.

The program targets people with disabilities of all ages who are temporarily or permanently unable or unwilling to live in their previous environment and require support in the form of housing and care services. Funding prerequisites for service providers include recognition according to § 27 of the Upper Austrian Equal Opportunities Act and the conclusion of a service contract pursuant to § 30 of the same law. Application documents include, among others, proof of lawful permanent residence, a medical certificate, income statements, and proof of assets. This unlimited grant offer opens up diverse opportunities to promote individual independence and sustainably strengthen social participation.
