Residential Placement Application for Residents with Support Needs (Learning Shared Apartment / CLAY244)

The housing application for residents with support needs offers young adults in Berlin the opportunity for self-determined living in inclusive communities. Interested private individuals with learning or support needs, as well as students without support needs, can continuously apply for a place in the Lern-WG Leo or the CLAY244 of the Anne Ramm Foundation via an online form. The goal of this initiative is the targeted promotion of independence and social participation: Through the cohabitation of people with and without support needs, a dynamic everyday life is created in which mutual attentiveness and respect play central roles. A prerequisite for a successful application is the presence of a support need as well as the willingness to actively participate in an inclusive shared flat concept.

The program sets impulses for social cohesion by combining barrier-free housing structures with individual support. In the shared flats, up to twelve residents in the Lern-WG Leo or eight residents in the CLAY244 share daily life under one roof with other tenants. Professional guidance and a supportive network ensure that personal budgets are optimally utilized and a balanced relationship between assistance and personal freedom is maintained. Through this combination of housing construction, social infrastructure, and commitment to democracy, a vibrant environment is created that sustainably accompanies young adults on their path to greater independence and participation.
