Description
The program supports private individuals in Lower Saxony in the creation and modernization of owner-occupied residential property with non-repayable grants. Funding is provided to applicants who establish their primary residence in their own residential property and can prove eligibility for housing promotion. The amount of the grant depends on the living area: €2.00 per m²/month for a five-year commitment period, €2.50 for ten years, and €3.00 for a commitment period of fifteen to twenty years. Early application submission is possible as the program is continuously open. In addition to use as a primary residence in Lower Saxony, a prerequisite is the registration of a restricted easement in the land register to secure the purpose binding. Applications are submitted through the local housing promotion office, which provides all forms and advises builders on the selection of appropriate documents.
For the application, in addition to the fully completed form 1011a, a product information sheet, the self-disclosure form (form 3076), details about the apartment (form 1012), and an excerpt from the land register must be submitted. A one-time processing fee of 0.75% of the approved grant amount will be withheld upon payment of the first installment. The Investment and Development Bank of Lower Saxony (NBank) acts as the central processing agency for the State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Transport and Construction and supports applicants through information, consultation, and administration. Interested parties can contact the NBank funding advisory service with any questions regarding application preparation to efficiently realize their dream of homeownership.
