Residential Law Fellowship of Villa Lessing – Liberal Foundation Saar e.V.

The Villa Lessing – Liberal Foundation Saar e.V. offers outstanding students and doctoral candidates from Saarland universities and universities of applied sciences the opportunity to use a rent-free accommodation in one of the student rooms at Villa Lessing for up to three semesters. Additionally, a monthly flat rate of €75 for ancillary costs (electricity, water, internet) is covered. The scholarship recognizes academic excellence while simultaneously promoting social and political engagement. Interested applicants must demonstrate their above-average academic achievements through certificates from their instructors and provide evidence of their involvement in student committees, political parties, or non-profit organizations. Furthermore, a positive attitude towards a free and constitutional society is required, as well as the willingness to participate in selected events at Villa Lessing.

The selection takes place year-round through a transparent process, considering criteria such as academic performance, proven social or political engagement, and value-oriented commitment to the free democratic basic order. Applications require the submission of a motivation letter, current academic records, and relevant proof of engagement. The decision is made by the board of the Liberal Foundation Saar e.V.; legal recourse is excluded.
