Description

The Caritas Foundation Hannover "From Person to Person" supports non-profit projects in the Lower Saxony region with the aim of specifically strengthening personnel resources and thereby sustainably promoting participation and equal opportunities. Eligible to apply are institutions and offices of the Caritas Association Hannover e.V. as well as the Catholic parishes in the Hannover region. The foundation continuously awards grants exclusively for personnel costs and targets projects in the areas of social affairs, children and youth, migration, health, as well as work & social issues. By focusing on time-based funding instead of material expenses, the foundation strengthens equal-level encounters between professionals and target groups – such as families, seniors, or people with disabilities – and contributes to combating poverty and exclusion.

With these grants, the foundation promotes the professional qualification of young specialists and secures the long-term recruitment in social work. Investing in qualified time enables the implementation of innovative and sustainable concepts that have an immediate impact in everyday life and strengthen the community. Projects for violence and addiction prevention, integration of people with a migration background, or support for socially disadvantaged children and youth benefit from the funding, as do initiatives for the care of elderly and ill people. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing forward-looking personnel measures to be realized quickly and without bureaucracy.
