Description

The state of Tyrol supports municipalities and municipal associations with direct grants amounting to 10% of the purchase price (up to a maximum of €50,000) for the acquisition of land, the implementation of infrastructural projects, the renovation and revitalization of established town centers, as well as the execution of landscape conservation accompanying measures. Eligible projects include, among others, subsidized housing developments in accordance with the Tyrolean Housing Promotion Act 1991, as well as municipal infrastructure tasks and environmental or nature conservation measures. A prerequisite for funding, in addition to the zoning of the land or a positive spatial planning assessment by an official expert, is a detailed project description with a financing plan, development and utilization concept, as well as proof of all required official permits and existing third-party funds. Applications are submitted exclusively online via the portal application of the state of Tyrol and must be received no later than one month before the next board meeting of the Tyrolean Land Fund.

The allocation is based on spatial planning appropriateness, project effectiveness, the financial capacity of the applicants, and the availability of state funds. The amount of the grant is determined individually and can amount to up to one third of the recognized basic costs for undeveloped building plots. The entitlement to funding expires two years after the completion of the measures or the acquisition of the land. In cases of breaches of obligation or incorrect information, the funding agency may demand full or partial repayment within four weeks. This program contributes to sustainable urban and town center development, the strengthening of municipal infrastructure, and climate protection in Tyrol, thereby promoting livable and future-proof municipalities.
