Description
The grants under the Care Fund Act in Styria support trainees in health and nursing care, nursing assistance, as well as in social care professions with a monthly training allowance of € 600 (indexed). This contribution serves to provide financial relief and helps to make training in care and social professions more attractive. Eligible for funding are both students at public and private schools for health and nursing care as well as students of FH JOANNEUM in the health and nursing care degree program. Also eligible to apply are participants in courses for nursing assistance and specialist or diploma social caregivers, as well as students in vocational schools for mandatory nursing internships.
An application can be submitted no earlier than the start of the training and no later than June 30 of the following year. Required are a fully completed online application, a current training confirmation, and, if available, a benefit confirmation from the AMS. Persons receiving material subsistence benefits under the Unemployment Insurance Act or the Public Employment Service Act are excluded from funding. Payments are made retroactively for the previous month. The funding is valid until December 31, 2028, thus enabling long-term support for young professionals on their path into the care and social sector.
