The goal is to impart a profound understanding of global ecological interrelationships and to strengthen the capacity for action in nature and species conservation. The funding also supports training and further education measures in environmental education, engagement for social cohesion, as well as energy efficiency and climate protection.

Applications can be submitted at any time. Prerequisites include an interest in international voluntary service, an age between approximately 12 and 27 years, and a focus on deployment countries in Central and South America. Projects that contribute to education for sustainable development, promote language acquisition and intercultural dialogue, or advance socio-ecological innovations are also supported. The foundation places particular emphasis on the sustainable integration of nature conservation-related topics in society and accompanies each measure with professional expertise. Interested private individuals can submit applications continuously and are advised by independent experts during the selection process.
