Description
In Burgenland, individuals with disabilities receive financial support under the Burgenland Equal Opportunities Act (Bgld. ChG) in the form of grants for medically necessary and scientifically recognized treatments. Funding is provided for both medically prescribed preventive services and remedies, care in hospitals, spa, and other suitable facilities, as well as therapeutic measures, provided these contribute to the remedy or significant improvement of impairments. The funding is granted continuously without time limitation and offers noticeable relief for treatment costs. Application start: 01.10.2024, applications can be submitted at any time thereafter.
The funding is aimed at people with disabilities who can prove their main residence in Burgenland and meet the requirements of the Bgld. ChG, including Austrian citizens, asylum beneficiaries, and foreigners permanently settled for at least five years. For the application, income statements for the last six months, a current clinical-psychological report or specialist medical assessment, a maintenance agreement, a divorce settlement or decree, as well as a cost estimate for the therapy must be submitted. The responsible district administrative authorities review the submitted documents and determine the amount of individual grants based on a regulation. This funding ensures comprehensive care that contributes to better participation and improved quality of life.
