Description
The state of Tyrol offers continuous support within its direct funding programs for the areas of social affairs, health, as well as work & social services for people in need of care and supervision. Private individuals with their main residence in Tyrol, who receive care allowance and require assistance in daily life due to age- or illness-related limitations, can apply for a non-repayable grant for care-related renovation measures and necessary aids. Since the program's inception in 2011, it has been possible to submit applications continuously and to submit them to the responsible authority within six months after the completion of the measure or acquisition of the device. Thus, the state funding contributes to strengthening the home care and support infrastructure.
Funding is provided particularly for care-related modifications of living areas – such as barrier-free renovation of bathrooms, installation of stairlifts or level-access showers – as well as technical and mobility-oriented aids to promote independence, such as wheelchairs or screen readers. Additionally, care supports in the home environment, such as care beds or lifting devices, can be subsidized. Prerequisites include a valid care allowance notice, proof of income, assets, and family circumstances, a current registration certificate, as well as a justification of the planned measures and information on possible insurance claims of third parties. Original invoices together with proof of payment must be attached to the application. The complete documentation must be submitted no later than six months after the acquisition of the aids or completion of the renovation work, referencing the invoice date. The funding aims to ensure the continuity of home care and to sustainably improve the quality of life of those affected.
