Description
In Tyrol, the State of Tyrol supports public providers with a subsidy of 55% on the reasonable acquisition costs for musical instruments in municipalities where new regional music schools are to be established. This funding offer is exclusively aimed at municipalities as future applicants and operators of a music school according to the Tyrolean Music School Act. The financing covers only the acquisition costs of instruments; applications must be submitted by September 30 for the following year, and invoices must be presented by October 31 of the current year at the latest. The provision of funds is carried out within the framework of the General Directive of the State of Tyrol for subsidies from state funds and is based on the regulations of the Tyrolean Music School Plan. The budget is valid indefinitely and is settled based on actual expenses incurred.
Prerequisites for the awarding of the subsidy include, among others, unrestricted accessibility of the music school under equal conditions (§ 8 para. 1 Tyrolean Music School Act), the collection of uniform tuition fees analogous to existing regional music schools, as well as the possibility for management and teaching staff to participate in training events of the regional music schools. Furthermore, professional supervision by the competent state authorities and examination rights to ensure compliance with the funding conditions must be granted. These requirements ensure that the acquired instruments are used sustainably in high-quality instruction and that musical education is strengthened comprehensively.
