Description

Grant for the ongoing operation of a parent-child center in Upper Austria supports non-profit organizations with the aim of sustainably securing the open operation of parent-child centers. Funding primarily covers infrastructure and personnel costs to ensure low-threshold information and contact services. With a total budget of 0.7 million euros per year, open meeting points, playgroups, and topic-specific lectures are supported. Applications can be submitted year-round, enabling continuous planning of courses for young families. A prerequisite for funding is the demonstrated need for a parent-child center and compliance with specified quality criteria, which include child-friendly premises and qualified staff.

The funding is aimed at parents, single parents, and other caregivers of children aged 0–12 years. Open hours for exchange are offered, along with a diverse program of playgroups, childbirth preparation, breastfeeding groups, and creative courses for parents and children. A statutory signed financial statement, a current extract from the register of associations, and a financial plan for the funding period must be submitted with the application. The measure strengthens local networks in the social and educational sectors and creates low-threshold contact points that support parents in their role and enable diverse group and course offerings.
