Description
The grant for university and higher education institutions of the State of Tyrol supports those academic entities explicitly anchored in the Tyrolean state budget in the respective appropriation. Since January 1, 2018, there has been an unlimited ongoing possibility to receive a non-repayable subsidy from funds allocated in the state budget. Both public and private universities and higher education institutions are supported, including the University of Innsbruck and the Private University UMIT. The amount of the grant is based on the appropriation set in the budget of the Tyrolean State Parliament and the approved funding and contributes to strengthening education, research, and innovation in the region.
Applications can be submitted at any time, provided the applying institution has been designated by the Tyrolean State Parliament within the framework of the relevant budget. For review, a binding activity report and the financial statement for the funding year must be submitted. The processing is handled by the Budget Department of the Finance Division of the State of Tyrol, which is responsible for all matters concerning budgeting, disbursement, and accounting. This funding aims to secure high-quality teaching and research services as well as the international competitiveness of Tyrol in the long term.
