Grant according to Disaster Protection Funding Guidelines for ELW or AB UG-ÖEL

The Free State of Bavaria specifically supports the equipment of municipal disaster control structures through a one-time grant of up to 146,000 euros for the procurement of an operations command vehicle (ELW) or a roll-off container (AB) for the Local Operations Support Group (UG-ÖEL). This aims to sustainably strengthen the local command personnel and optimize coordination in emergency situations. Funding covers not only the pure acquisition costs for the ELW or AB but also optional satellite systems that ensure secure communication independent of existing network infrastructures. The grant thus makes a significant contribution to improving disaster response in Bavaria.

Eligible applicants include Bavarian districts, independent cities, public institutions, interest groups, as well as other associations and voluntary aid organizations. Generally, one ELW or AB UG-ÖEL is funded per district or independent city, provided that no ELW 2 or AB ELW 2 with an ongoing binding period exists in the respective district administrative authority. Furthermore, the technical requirements according to the disaster control funding guidelines must be met. Applications can be submitted at any time and continuously to the respective regional government authorities; the completed funding application form is sufficient as the submission document. This funding supports municipalities and organizations in quickly, efficiently, and legally expanding their command capacities.
