Grants for the Expansion of Business-Related Infrastructure (Infrastructure Directive)

Grants for the Expansion of Business-Related Infrastructure (Infrastructure Guideline) represent a continuously available funding opportunity from the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, open to municipalities, public-law institutions, companies, cooperatives, as well as non-profit organizations and interest groups. The objective is to strengthen the regional economic power and improve the location quality through the expansion and modernization of economically relevant infrastructure. Funding is provided for investments in construction and planning services as well as engineering and architectural services related to project implementations in areas such as infrastructure, regional development, or agriculture and rural development. A prerequisite for a grant is proof of headquarters or place of business within the funding area, the planning and realization of a business-related infrastructure project, as well as a comprehensible earmarking and economic efficiency of the measure.

The amount of the subsidies is determined based on the economic significance for the region, sustainability and environmental compatibility, as well as efficiency in the cost-benefit ratio. Operating costs and personnel expenses outside of project management are not eligible for funding. For the application, among other documents, a completed application form, a detailed project description, a cost and financing plan, and proof of own funds must be submitted. The State Development Bank Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (LFI) accepts applications continuously until the allocated budget funds are exhausted. As the central funding agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the LFI handles the processing and approval within the scope of its sovereign tasks and thus supports investment and modernization projects in the region.
