Funding Area Replacement Payments – We Promote Diversity!

Within the framework of the program "We Promote Diversity!", the funding area Replacement Payments specifically provides resources for nature conservation measures as well as projects promoting biodiversity, species protection, and landscape management in Baden-Württemberg. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, foundations, public institutions, as well as private individuals engaged in the fields of environmental/nature conservation or energy efficiency & climate protection. With a pure grant model, the Baden-Württemberg Nature Conservation Fund Foundation supports projects of all sizes – from the creation of new biotopes, through the renaturation of former nursery sites, to the restoration of juniper heaths. Selection is carried out continuously upon receipt and completeness of application documents; projects with a funding volume up to 50,000 euros are generally decided within three months, while larger projects are reviewed by the foundation board in the meetings held in March, July, or November.

For a successful application, the submission of the following documents is essential: application form, project description, financing plan, and proposed measures. A prerequisite is the implementation of the nature conservation measures within Baden-Württemberg as well as the submission of complete application documents in the funding area Replacement Payments. Applications can be submitted immediately until September 30, 2026. This funding offer is particularly aimed at environmental NGOs, non-profit associations, and all other committed actors who wish to make active contributions to the preservation and diversity of native nature.
