The Office of the Carinthian Provincial Government, Department 10 – Agriculture and Forestry, Rural Areas, is an organizational unit of the Carinthian provincial administration. The department designs and manages funding programs in the agricultural sector, forestry, and rural regional development. Its main tasks include implementing the Rural Areas Master Plan, promoting small-scale projects, and supporting the LEADER program 2023–2027. The goal is to strengthen regional value creation, preserve the cultural landscape, and improve the quality of life in rural communities.

Department 10 is committed to the sustainable, future-oriented development of the rural areas in Carinthia. It promotes innovative projects that advance economic diversification, strengthen social networking, and ensure the preservation of natural landscapes. Through targeted funding measures and integrated spatial development, it contributes to the long-term stability and attractiveness of rural communities.

The funding programs of Department 10 are aimed at municipalities, local action groups (LEADER groups), agricultural and forestry enterprises, as well as non-profit organizations and initiatives in Carinthia. Projects supported include those for improving infrastructure, strengthening regional value chains, diversifying rural economic sectors, and promoting cultural and social initiatives in rural areas.
