Department 13 – Society and Integration is an organizational unit of the Office of the Carinthian State Government. It is responsible for socio-political measures, coordinates integration and basic services for refugees and third-country nationals, as well as the promotion of family policy and intergenerational projects. These include, among others: financing and support of integration courses, language promotion and counseling services; support for organizations, associations, and initiative groups in the areas of family, youth, seniors, and equality; implementation of the state youth, family, and senior departments as well as the Equal Treatment Office.

Department 13 – Society and Integration is committed to strengthening social cohesion in Carinthia and enabling equitable participation for all population groups. Our goal is to successfully foster integration through targeted funding programs, advisory and educational services, to support families, and to promote intergenerational solidarity.

Non-profit organizations, associations, initiative groups, and public institutions in Carinthia that implement family policy, social, and integration-related projects are supported. This includes, for example, providers of seminars, conferences, and informational events, municipalities with family-oriented services, youth and senior organizations, as well as refugee aid and integration service facilities.
