The Department 13 "Society and Integration" within the Office of the Carinthian State Government is responsible for the promotion and coordination of the following core areas: refugee affairs including basic care and integration, women's and gender equality policy, the Equal Treatment Office, as well as the coordination of socio-political measures (State Youth Department, Family Department, Senior and Generations Department). It develops and manages funding programs, implements social measures, and advises organizations and initiative groups on application procedures and fund allocation.

Our goal is to sustainably promote social inclusion and equal opportunities in Carinthia. We support integrative measures for people with a refugee background, strengthen gender equality, and coordinate socio-political projects in the areas of youth, family, and seniors. In doing so, we act according to the principles of thrift, economy, and efficiency.

Our funding programs are aimed at associations, non-profit organizations, and initiative groups acting in the public interest that implement projects in the following areas: refugee assistance and integration in Carinthia, women's and equality projects, as well as socio-political measures for youth, families, and seniors. Both individuals and groups contributing to social diversity and social cohesion in Carinthia are supported.
