Department 4 is committed to a violence-free upbringing of children and adolescents, promotes equal opportunities, and supports families in challenging life situations. It aims to create optimal framework conditions by disseminating child protection knowledge, strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, and providing early, targeted assistance. The goal is to sustainably ensure the well-being of all children and adolescents in Carinthia.

The target group includes children, adolescents, and families in Carinthia, particularly those in crisis or at-risk situations, as well as parents and legal guardians seeking advice and support. Furthermore, the offer is aimed at professionals and institutions (e.g., kindergartens, schools, youth centers, psychosocial services, district administrative authorities) working in child protection and youth welfare, as well as private providers of child and youth welfare facilities requiring official suitability assessment.
