Mission & Vision

Our mission is to ensure that all children in Salzburg have equal and high-quality access to early childhood education and care. We promote inclusive, intercultural, and child-centered concepts, support providers and professionals in the continuous development of their services, and offer comprehensive advice to parents on all matters related to early childhood education. Through efficient funding structures and close cooperation with municipalities, educational institutions, and social partners, we create a reliable care network for families.

Target groups

The funding program is aimed at providers and operators of childcare facilities (kindergartens, crèches, after-school care), childminders, pedagogical professionals in early childhood education, municipalities and political decision-makers, as well as parents and legal guardians seeking childcare places or wishing to establish their own childcare facilities. Furthermore, we support organizations and initiatives for parent and family education. The target group includes children from birth until school entry, their families, and all professionals involved in early childhood education and care.
