About the funder

The Andreas-Hahn-Stiftung is a legally capable public foundation under civil law, established in 1996 and based in Vallendar/Rhine. It exclusively and directly pursues charitable and non-profit purposes. From the foundation’s assets as well as additional donations, it supports the assistance and alleviation of hardship for young coma patients in northern Rhineland-Palatinate (physically, mentally, or emotionally significantly impaired), in particular grants for medical treatment, rehabilitation, and the equipment of facilities, as well as the promotion of youth handball in northern Rhineland-Palatinate through financial support of non-profit clubs for trainer and instructor costs, entry fees, tournament organization, travel, and accommodation expenses.

Mission & Vision

The Andreas-Hahn-Stiftung aims to selflessly and sustainably improve the living conditions of young people in exceptional distress. Our mission is to enable young coma patients to achieve a better quality of life through financial support for therapy and rehabilitation measures and to provide funding for youth handball in our region to promote athletic development, social participation, and voluntary engagement.

Target groups

The foundation targets adolescents and young adults up to the age of 21 in northern Rhineland-Palatinate who are dependent on external assistance due to a coma, as well as youth handball teams and clubs in northern Rhineland-Palatinate that are recognized as non-profit and require funding to support their youth work.
