About the funder
The Atelierhausstiftung Architektur is a private foundation based in Frankfurt am Main. It was established on the basis of the Atelierhaus on Martin Luther Street, which founder Joachim Schwarzenberg built in 1998 and transferred to the foundation’s assets in 2018. The foundation supports highly motivated and talented emerging architects as well as young craftsmen on their educational path, particularly through the financing of study abroad programs and the facilitation of international expertise in construction. In November 2024, the annual funding budget doubled through the endowment of a second studio.

Mission & Vision
The Atelierhausstiftung Architektur promotes excellence in architecture and construction by providing talented young professionals with international opportunities similar to those the founder received through his own studies abroad. The goal is to create outstanding training opportunities for future architects and craftsmen.
Target groups
Highly motivated and talented architecture students as well as skilled young craftsmen and craftswomen in training are supported. The geographical focus is on Germany, with stays abroad and international studies explicitly included as funding objectives. A fundamental requirement is proven aptitude and motivation in the field of architecture and construction.
