The AWO-Saarland Foundation is a social foundation based in Saarbrücken. It was established on April 6, 2009, and is dedicated to promoting welfare services with a focus on assistance for people facing particular social difficulties in Saarland. The foundation supports individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, and personal crises, as well as children, youth, and the elderly. It operates without administrative costs—100% of all donations go directly to funding purposes. Since its inception, over 6,000 individual case aids have been provided, and approximately 255 AWO projects combating poverty have been supported.

Mission & Vision
We bring together people who do good with those who need help. Every donation goes 100% to people in need in Saarland. The foundation offers quick and unbureaucratic individual assistance to people in emergency situations.
Target groups
People in special social distress in Saarland are supported – in particular, homeless individuals, persons affected by poverty, victims of violence, as well as children, adolescents, families, and elderly people. Priority is given to individuals cared for by AWO facilities. The geographical focus is exclusively on Saarland.
