About the funder

The Federal Ministry for Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection (BMASGPK) is a supreme federal authority of the Republic of Austria, headquartered in the government building at Stubenring 1 in Vienna. It is responsible for labour market policy, social policy and social insurance, the care and senior citizen sector, health administration, as well as consumer protection. With an annual budget of approximately EUR 19.92 billion (2022), the ministry shapes the framework conditions for fair working conditions, social security, accessible care services, prevention and healthcare provision, as well as consumer protection and information.

Mission & Vision

The BMASGPK is committed to ensuring that all people in Austria have equal opportunities to access work, social security, and health. We promote solidarity, strengthen self-determination in old age, and guarantee effective consumer protection. Our goal is to create livable conditions and secure the social participation of all population groups through cooperation with social partners, civil society organizations, and all levels of administration.

Target groups

The funding programs and services of the BMASGPK are aimed at private individuals (e.g., seniors, patients, consumers), companies and business associations, non-profit organizations and clubs, public institutions (e.g., municipalities, state authorities), as well as educational and research institutions. These target groups can submit projects and measures in the areas of labor, social affairs, health, care, and consumer protection and additionally receive information and advisory services.
