Bündnis für Kinder – gegen Gewalt
About the funder
The Bündnis für Kinder Foundation is a legally capable, state-administered public law foundation based in Munich. Founded by the Free State of Bavaria (represented by the State Ministry for Labor and Social Affairs, Family and Integration), it has been committed to violence prevention and child protection since 2001. Using the proceeds from its core assets and donations, it funds nationwide projects aimed at strengthening the personality of children and adolescents, supporting parents in their educational responsibilities, and qualifying professionals. Every donated euro flows directly into project funding, as personnel are provided free of charge by the Bavaria Center for Family and Social Affairs.

Mission & Vision
The Bündnis für Kinder Foundation aims to send a clear signal against neglect, abuse, and violence towards children and adolescents and to unite all societal forces for preventive measures. Its goal is to enable children to grow up in a violence-free, child-friendly society, to support parents, and to raise awareness among professionals and the general public. It promotes innovative, sustainable, and low-threshold projects that serve as models and mobilize civic engagement.
Target groups
Nationwide support is provided for children and adolescents, their parents, as well as volunteer and full-time multipliers (e.g., professionals from daycare centers, schools, and social institutions). The programs target project sponsors implementing violence prevention initiatives with an innovative approach, sustainable impact, gender-reflective access, and transferability to other regions.
