Mission & Vision

The BAV consolidates and optimizes administrative tasks at a central point to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and uniform quality standards within the Federal Administration for Digital Affairs and Transport. It relieves its clients – ministry authorities and subordinate agencies – through specialized service and consulting activities, thereby creating space for their core responsibilities.

Target groups

The services of the BAV are primarily aimed at authorities and institutions within the portfolio of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (e.g., German Weather Service, Federal Motor Transport Authority, Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration). In the area of funding programs, natural and legal persons, cities and municipalities, as well as other project sponsors, can submit digital applications to receive financial support for transport and mobility projects.
