About the funder

The Carl and Marisa Hahn Foundation is a legally recognized charitable foundation under private law, established in 2006 and based in Wolfsburg. Renamed in memory of Marisa Hahn, it is active in Wolfsburg and the surrounding districts as well as in Chemnitz and Zwickau, and additionally supports the Saxony International School Carl Hahn in Glauchau. Science and research are promoted nationwide. The foundation supports children, adolescents, students, as well as social and cultural institutions through scholarships, regional projects, and straightforward assistance in financial emergencies.

Mission & Vision

"We against poverty – for education and culture." The Carl and Marisa Hahn Foundation opens up prospects for young people and promotes social engagement. It provides unbureaucratic assistance to individuals and institutions in acute distress and focuses on education, sustainability, and cultural diversity as drivers for a solidaristic and inclusive society.

Target groups

The funding programs are aimed at children and young people in Wolfsburg, Chemnitz, and Zwickau, students from the VW catchment area, financially needy families and individuals, as well as social, cultural, and scientific institutions in the aforementioned regions. Additionally, acute emergencies and projects that assist people in difficult life situations are supported.
