Mission & Vision
Germany possesses one of the richest and most diverse cultural and media landscapes in the world. The BKM is committed to preserving, further developing, and making it accessible to all citizens – through the promotion of art, culture, film, media, and historical remembrance at both the national and international levels.
Target groups
Artists, cultural institutions (museums, archives, libraries, memorials), film and media professionals, publishers and authors, as well as institutions engaged in historical remembrance work are supported. The geographical focus is on Germany, with projects of national and international significance. A special national relevance of the funded project is generally a prerequisite.
