Diakoniestiftung Büdinger Land

The Diakoniestiftung Büdinger Land was established on the initiative of the Protestant Deanery of Büdingen and currently has an endowment capital of 125,000 euros (25,000 euros initial capital, 50,000 euros increase in 2015, 50,000 euros additional endowment in 2019). It primarily supports diaconal activities within the Büdinger Land deanery. The focus is particularly on the Büdinger Food Bank as well as assistance programs for single parents, people with disabilities, and families in difficult life situations. Since 2019, the foundation has also supported projects aimed at supplementing initial care and integrating refugees. The foundation is managed by the Stiftung Diakonie Hessen, which administers a variety of regional sub-foundations under its umbrella.

The Diakoniestiftung Büdinger Land aims to establish a permanent pillar for the financial security of diaconal services in the Büdinger Land. It is committed to safeguarding and developing offerings that fulfill the Christian mission of charity and solidarity, and supports innovative projects where there is no regular funding.

Support is provided to people in the Protestant Deanery of Büdinger Land who require assistance due to social hardship: needy individuals reliant on the Büdinger food bank; single parents; people with disabilities; families in difficult life situations; as well as newly arrived refugees for whom integration and supplementary services are established.
