About the funder

The Friedrich Pongratz Foundation is a legal, non-profit foundation under civil law based in Berlin. Its purpose includes the promotion of education, care, and support. It supports projects nationally and internationally, awards scholarships for pupils and students, finances technical and structural equipment in educational and care institutions, and initiates its own educational and care programs. Its institutions include, among others, the IfAG Institute for Applied Gerontology, the GfA Society for Elderly and Disabled Assistance, and the AflB Academy for International Education. The foundation operates selflessly and is subject to the supervision of the State of Berlin.
